buy是普通用词,通常用于买菜、买肉、买房子、买珠宝等; purchase是正式用语,表示经过周密计划以后才买,或是由于业务上的需要大规模地购买,所以在许多用purchase的场合都可以用buy,但许多用buy的场合却不一定能用purchase。例如:
